It’ll be less Chocolate now, Ray…

Posted on Updated on

Screwball racist Mayor Ray Nagin, of New Orleans, was famous for making racist statements numerous times before and after Hurricane Katrina.

One of the infamous statements was that he wanted NOLA to “become a Chocolate Town once again”. Imagine some Republican pol saying the same about making a southern town “Vanilla again”? Ray forgets that every Mardi Gras and Super Bowl and college bowl game, it’s the Vanilla money that brings in the lion’s share at the register. Of course, as a pol, he has no idea how a true business works.

Here’s a good one:

MAYOR RAY NAGIN: “We as black people, it’™s time, it’™s time for us to come together. It’™s time for us to rebuild a New Orleans, the one that should be a chocolate New Orleans and I don’t care what people are saying uptown or wherever they are, this city will be chocolate at the end of the day.”

Looks like Ray gets to ponder all those philosophical ideas for some time to come. He’s just been indicted for various crimes while in office, including money laundering, bribe and fraud, just to name a few.

Listen to little twerpy racist and judge for yourself:
