20 August 2014: 100th anniversary of passing of Pope St Pius X…

Posted on Updated on

And so ESH highly anticipates the 100th anniversary of the passing on to the celestial eternal life of the truly Great saint within the past century, Pope St Pius X.

Rorate Caeli has already begun the discussion, inter alia.

Even more can be seen and read at Atonement Online on the magnificent manly man, fighter of modernists and their intellectual poison, and the destructive anti-Christian nature of movements such as the Sillion.

That this “honey badger” fighter of the “synthesis of heresies” could be alive today, when the same is embraced and often elevated by clerics and prelates within the bosom of Holy Mother Church. Giuseppe Sarto was a Man for All Seasons, a salve and medicinal balm much needed in a world exploding with the advent of marxism and communism in the early 20th century, and stoked by the “partisans of error” sowing their deadly opiate among the masses. He tried to tamp it down with both spiritual piety and fiery, thoughful polemics in his many storied encyclicals and teachings.

A devotee of early and often communion and confession, St Pius X opened up Holy Communion to children at the age of reason, around 7 years of age.

Oremus: O heavenly Father, Shepherd of Thy people, we give Thee thanks for Thy servant Pope St Pius X, who was faithful in the care and nurture of Thy flock; and we pray that, following his example and the teaching of his holy life, we may by thy grace grow into the stature of the fullness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; who liveth and reigneth with Thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
