Feast of the Most Holy Rosary…

Today is the Feast of the Most Holy Rosary in the Roman (Latin) Rite of the Catholic Church.

Read here about the history of the Feast including the battle of Lepanto, Italy against the greater numbers of Mohammedans on this date in 1571, during the reign of Pope St Pius V. Only by Catholic Europe storming heaven with pleadings using the weapon of choice of the Mother of God, Christendom was preserved at the time, leading to institution of the feast as well as that of Our Lady of Good Succor.

A further explanation of the feast, its history and explanation of the Holy Rosary as a prayer and spiritual weapon can be found here…

And ESH says don’t forget this Saturday Oct 12th there will be rosaries said worldwide by Catholics at 12 noon local time in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Fatima Miracle of the Sun, witness by 70,000 people at Fatima, Portugal.
